Clemson vs Georgia Tech
With such a huge rivalry between the two schools, the pressure is on both sides. And we should all be aware of it. In this article, I will give you all my reasons why Clemson vs Georgia tech suck. It is not a fun thing to write, but I promise you it will be worth it.
I could go on and on about how the ACC’s schedule has turned into an absolute laughing stock. But I will end it here. I will also point out that this is a completely unfair comparison. Because Clemson takes care of both of its conference rivals on the same day. In fact, if you’re taking in the ACC, the only way to take care of both Georgia Tech and Clemson on the same day is to play the ACC.
As I mentioned in my previous article, I have been a fan of Clemson’s offense for a long time. When I was at Clemson, I knew that they were one of the best offenses in the country. When I was at Georgia Tech, I knew that they were one of the best defenses in the country.
Clemson’s offense is much more efficient than Georgia Tech’s. Clemson’s offense has been ranked in the top 10 in the nation in yards per play this past season. So it’s definitely possible that we could have a game like this on our schedule. But I think there is a bigger problem. Despite having one of the best defenses in the country, Clemson is ranked last in the ACC in passing efficiency. And the reason why is because Clemson is using a lot of play-action passes.
Clemson has a ridiculous amount of play-action passes. And a lot of them are thrown from deep. The problem is that Clemson is also throwing the ball a lot of times to receivers who are not playing to their strengths. This leads to a lot of mistakes from opponents because Clemson can throw the ball to any position in the field. So you’re probably going to see a lot of mistakes from opponents because Clemson has a lot of play-action passes.
When Clemson can’t get the ball down the field, it makes it easier for other teams because the Tigers are throwing in the box a lot.
One of the main points in the game was that Clemson is getting off to a slow start. This is a huge problem. Because Clemson needs to get into a very good bowl game. But because Clemson vs Georgia tech is throwing it to receivers who are not playing to their strengths, it makes it easier for opponents to make mistakes because Clemson has a lot of play-action passes. This will probably cause some of the same trouble as the ACC title game.
Of course, the real problem is that Clemson is not playing to its strengths. It’s throwing it to a bunch of “power” receivers who are not playing to their strengths. With Clemson’s receivers being spread out at the catch point, the offensive line doesn’t help Clemson’s overall running game. Also, the speed of Clemson’s receivers may be a problem, too. Because Clemson was able to run plays at the catch point earlier in the first half that should have been blocked.
