But the Foodgasm movement isn’t limited to food geeks. And many marketers are now using it as a tool to get you hooked on a particular product.

When I first started hearing about it, I thought it was just a hashtag for food geeks. But then I came across this article from Huffington Post titled, “The Marketing of Food Gasm.” It’s a pretty interesting article.

And I’m sure marketers have heard of it. I’d also like to point out at the end of the article that it really is a marketing campaign that has had incredible results.

This article is a great read. The marketers behind it are definitely making you addicted to foodgasm. The marketing itself is pretty simple. The idea behind it is to get your brain thinking of food while it’s being prepared.

For example, instead of eating a hamburger, you might think about eating a burger that you already made. This is pretty awesome. Because it makes you think about food while you’re eating it, which helps you actually enjoy the food even if you’re not eating it.
